Personal Journey

I believe determination, grit and perseverance enables our breakthrough moments and defines who we are.

My journey is a bit unusual and has shaped who I am, my values and my purpose. I grew up bicoastal in New York City and California with many places I have called home. I attended 3 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 3 high schools - each in a different city.

Moving from one home to the next was challenging and I never had enough time to feel settled in anywhere. Most of the time I defaulted to following along with the crowd. I was setting my goals based on what others were doing and what others expected of me. Over time, I ended up chasing dreams that were not my own and chasing goals that were not aligned with my personal values. After years of feeling lost and insecure, I knew something had to change. I needed to be honest with myself and reframe what was truly important to me. With renewed focus and intention, I started to lean into my discomfort and this enabled me to grow into emerging opportunities.

I believe in helping others and making a positive impact.

There are two personal passions I developed along the way. The first is advancing the healthcare delivery system and helping to solve some of the most complex healthcare challenges. The drive I have in this direction is fueled by several experiences. My paternal grandfather suffered from blindness most of his life and from an early age I aspired to one day help him gain his vision back. My maternal grandmother dealt with numerous chronic conditions. Accompanying her to doctor appointments was deeply emotional yet eye-opening. Growing up without insurance and moving around so much, I did not have a family doctor and ended up piecing together fragments of healthcare provided by school nurses, local drugstores and community clinics. These experiences lit a burning desire inside of me to pursue a career in healthcare and contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

I believe this coaching journey is my purpose in life.

The second passion I developed is helping others reach their breakthrough moments, achieve their purpose and be their greatest selves. When I was younger, I wished there was someone to help provide me with guidance and support through my personal experiences with uncertainty, change and failure. As I continued to move forward, I found purpose and happiness in sharing what I have learned with others. As a student, I enjoyed tutoring other classmates and when I started working I helped my friends with their resumes, cover letters and job applications. Early in my career as a manager, I dived deep into employee hiring, training and development efforts. My journey continued with both informal and formal opportunities to mentor, coach and teach. I discovered that my strengths include having empathy and compassion while helping others navigate their challenges and opportunities. I have worked with individuals who have diverse backgrounds, academic focuses and industry/functional experiences. These interactions feed my love for learning, exploring new ideas and growing with others.

I believe each individual has the potential to achieve remarkable success and make amazing contributions in our world. 

My goal is to help others leverage their unique skills, experiences and talents and apply these personal treasures to advance in their lives and careers. I love helping others explore, define and achieve their own personal marks of success. As your coach you can count on me to actively listen, honor your values, provide support and challenge you to advance beyond your comfort zone. I want to help you in your journey of living a successful, productive and meaningful life. I believe in you.
